Impel Systems has completed a project for a new Canadian seed cleaning facility in Prince Edward Island. The project included:
- Full automation of truck in and out with multi-port distributors for shipping and receiving of product;
- Automated seed cleaning operations involving an Almaz, Clipper, De-Bearder, Indent, Spirals, and Vista-Color sorter.
The control system design included Allen Bradley PLC controls with PanelView HMIs, which consist of three PLC control panels and three 600VAC contactor and VFD electrical panels for motor control. The completed system controls over a dozen bins and just under 100 individual motors along with their auxiliary instrumentation.
