Impel recently finished the commissioning and startup of an Alberta recycling facility which is responsible for the disposal of expired alcoholic beverages from bottles, cans and kegs. We sourced instrumentation parts and designed the electrical layout and control system. The disposal arm of the facility is now fully functional.
Precise monitoring of water flow for regulation compliance was achieved using multiple flow meters and variable speed pumps. Inlet water totalizers allowed for automated dosing and exact consumption amounts. Equipment protection from waste product containing abrasive glass was also fully automated by monitoring critical processes. Two operator interfaces were utilized allowing full control of the system with interface added redundancy.
