Impel systems has developed a drop-in replacement fuel controller to upgrade old and obsolete PECC TCSD and Hawker Siddeley HSDE fuel controllers. These controllers are typically found on Allison 501 turbines and utilize a 19” rack mount frame. The Impel solution uses the same rack mounted frame while utilizing an Allen Bradley based PLC and the latest PanelView touchscreen. Independent overspeed protection is included along with support for variable geometry and older LVDT style fuel valves. The HMI interface allows for full access to all of the fuel controls configuration as well as diagnostic data, trending, datalogging and IO forcing.
